I wanted to let you know what has been happening behind the scenes of designing this blog/website. When you don’t see a blog post from me for several days, that usually means I am working on something administrative connected to the website, such as, to name a few: taking and uploading pictures, documenting a “How To” project and getting it publication ready, doing research pertaining to a subject I want to pass on to you; reading, writing, and arithmetic; working on all my pastimes (projects) I have going on, cooking a new recipe, organizing information, and lastly, but not inclusive: trying to figure out what I am doing and how I should proceed with my website. I must add that having my own website is the most exasperating and time-consuming project I have ever done, but I love it! I’m weird, right? You’re probably asking why would I love something so frustrating? I think the reason is because it is a challenge and I like a challenge. I compare understanding website jargon to learning a foreign language. Anyway, that is what it is like for me. There are plenty of upgrades and professionals available to help with the process, but part of the challenge is seeing if I can do it myself without any added costs. You know by now I like saving money, so for the moment, I am learning something new every day and exercising patience, not one of my strong points. Nonetheless, I resigned myself to the reality that content is more important, and I have lots of information to prepare and get ready to share with you. All the fine-tuning details can wait.
Therefore, if some time elapses between blog posts, that doesn’t mean I am being lazy (or maybe it does!), my absence usually means I am trying to figure out some hair-pulling-out website procedure. After several hours, when the task is accomplished, and I exclaim, “I don’t know how I did that, but it’s cool!”; then, my day is complete. Believe me when I say: If I can do this, you can, too! Get started today exploring the dream of having your own website! Stay tuned. More adventures to come!
