I am so grateful for my life on a farm. The very core of my existence and purpose comes centerfold in being raised on a farm. Fortunately, my parents respected nature and passed on that reflection to me. I had a father that would rather be outside and a mother that could cook anything and make it taste delicious! Hands down to my mom’s squirrel gravy! My kids have a good laugh every time I mention that, even though unknowingly they probably ate it, too, during the many visits to their grandparents! Yes, growing up on a farm is at the heart of everything I love to do and strive to accomplish. Do you ever ask yourself what is your legacy? What will you be remembered by when you are gone? I think my legacy will be transformed into the destiny of passing on my thoughts and knowledge of existing in a time and space that portrays a simple life of being raised on a farm. In other words, my life is just another day in the realm of nature’s glory and my legacy is wrapped around dreams that never die, not only in my mind but also in the experiences that I can pass on to you. Hopefully, along the way I can encourage you to never give up on your dreams. Winston Churchill expressed this very thought so well when he said, “Never, never, never give up.” Likewise, I implore you to never, never give up on your dreams!
enjoy your story on the farm such a cute picture. Bring back memories for me also as I spent a lot of time there also as a kid!
Mary Ann,
Thank you so much for your comment! Yes, we have great memories of having fun together on the farm! Seems like our farm was the meeting place for all our aunts, uncles and cousins. I remember us kids camping out on the living room floor while the adults played cards in the kitchen until wee hours of the morning. Those are memorable times we’ll cherish forever!!
