I want to introduce you to the best waffle iron (or waffle maker) in the whole world, in my opinion anyway. I have had several waffle makers in the past, and this is the best one I have found so far! As you may well know, making waffles can be very frustrating, especially when you must pry them out of the maker. Have you ever stayed in a hotel that offered breakfast and you can make your own waffles? Well, I have and what was supposed to be a beautiful breakfast treat turns out to be picking the waffle out of the iron, piece by piece with a fork. Plus, not to mention the embarrassment, followed by endless apologizing to the hotel breakfast hostess/host for the mess I’ve made! Your worries are over with this simple to use waffle iron! That’s what I love…simplicity paired with delight! I’ll tell you why I love this waffle maker: There is very little clean-up and you don’t have to spray it with oil. Nothing sticks to it! Your waffle comes out perfect every time. I have even had batter running over the edge and it comes off completely when the waffle is done. When the waffle iron is cool, I just wipe off with a damp paper towel before storing. After my daughter saw me making waffles with it, she bought one for herself and and is enjoying it, too!

Another question you might have: Is there a healthy waffle mix out there that is easy to prepare? My answer is YES! My nephew told me about “Kodiak Cakes, Power Cakes Flapjack & Waffle Mix, Buttermilk.” He uses this mix to make his pancakes and I love it for waffles. You can see the list of ingredients below and they are very healthy, considering what else is in the grocery stores. Plus, so quick and easy to prepare because all you add is water. You might find it a bit pricey ($4-$5) but it’s worth it to me. I have found the Kodiak Cakes mix at Walmart, Hy-Vee, Winn Dixie and even Aldi’s. I also see it on Amazon.com. As a side note, I was watching an old Shark Tank rerun and the owners of Kodiak Cakes was on that program seeking funding to promote and expand their business. Surprisingly, they walked away without an offer. I bet the Sharks are now regretting that decision!
